i heard that you wailed
i heard that you veiled
yourself with painful tears
and asked who brought you fears
child, weep not
your home is coming
your mother is on her way
your father will soon arrive
and many who isolated you
shall come to embrace you warmly
weep not child
can you please keep hope alive?
and brighten up child?
street children we are
and things in the street
have been so piteously strict
i know, but weep not child
days of harvest are fast coming
remember our farm out there
those seeds of our many years in academics
are bearing bountiful fruits
a good harvest comes dear child
remember that time flies, yes, it does
so, weep not child.
