*REMINDER TO ALL NOUNITES*

*You are hereby reminded that a new semester will begin on 3rd of September, 2018.*

*Apparently, in other for us to get the best out of the few months we have before exams, some necessary things should be done or procedures followed as I am about to analyse.*

*Having said that we only have short period of time to cover the course materials (maximum of 24/25 units), solve and submit TMA, and finally prepare to take the exams.*

*Some of the important things that are expected of a student willing to be outstanding or increase his or her low GPA next semester include these:*

1. *Goal Setting*

*Set a goal for your academic career (if you are yet to do so)

*Set a realisable goal for the new semester following the adjusted Academic Calendar eg attaining a GPA of 3.5-4.5 or scoring up to 7 A.

2. *Downloading of PDF course materials from one of the official NOUN webiste www.nouedu.net/courseware*

*Don't just keep the Course Guides on your phone on successful download, read, assimilate, relate and review

*Request your course mates to share any course materials or useful items they possess with you if you are a very busy type (like Bright)

*Ensure you use the appropriate reading or study methods (you may refer to GST101 Course Material for more on "Learning and Comprehension)

*Those materials you read in the past will/are still useful to refresh your memory so don't give them out charitably in the absence of deep thought

3. *Tutor Marked Assessment (TMA)*

Undoubtedly, many of NOUN students make use of solved PDF while submitting which has two "side effects" I am not gonna reveal now

*Please permit me to skip the aspect of TMA at the moment

4. *Prepare sufficient money for payment of school fees*

*I hope you are aware that having a minus (-) sign preceding your wallet balance disqualifies a student from graduating?

*So, make sure you fund your wallet with the fixed or right amount the bursar told you to pay

*Consult your study centre Bursar/me for info on the amount of money to be funded that will be sufficient to cover registration/payment of the following

A. *Courses Registration*
B. *Exam Registration*
C. *Compulsory Fee*

*Fund your wallet only at a NOUN participating bank, fortunately almost all bank accepts remita payment.

5. *Exams and Revision*

*(Sighs) Matters arising on Exams will be dealt with months before EXAM personally if need be*
