MY MISTAKE Episode Three
I went outside the hall in the hopes of finding my wallet.Losing my ID card and ATM card means days of annoying paper work with the school's students' affairs section and the bank respectively. And for, everyday was occupied from Monday to Saturday, it didn't matter that we were just first year medical students, the school worked us to shreds!!!
I was standing under a mango tree that was in front of the lecture hall, arms folded, starring at the ground as if my wallet would magically come up of the earth when I heard my name. She was tall, slender and had eyes that seem to search your soul when they looked at you.She had admitted openly in class two weeks aga that she had a crush on me which was actually funny to me.Simi was one of those rich, spoilt kids who were neglected by their ever busy parents. She was bellow average intelligence and every one could easily guess how she got her admission. It was for her wealth rather than beauty or character that half the boys in my faculty wanted to date her.But for some reasons she chose me, not that I liked her though. There was someone else I admired but our paths hadn't crossed so...
Simi:"Mr Oliver, nice to see you're alone today and not with your books. How was the test am sure you gave him the marking scheme!!"
She came close, too close. It was difficult to say whether she was wearing that dress or it was wearing her!!! it was a black, strapless top with a skirt that was really mini.I had to fight to keep my eyes on her face and not the other parts...
Me:"Hey Simi how far na.You finished the test at all?"
Simi:"Trust me na, I finished everything for ten minute"
Piece of advice, never trust Simi
Me:"I trust you na, you be guru o.Me na only that question 2b I no do cos I no read the handout sef"
Simi:"But you go pass na?
Me:"Sure thing na, Oliver no dey carry last"
