MUM AND DAD

Mum never loved Dad,
Dad never loved Mum.
Yes, when I say love;
I meant they were never
drowned in love.

Mum had to be a Magician,
She could dragged the moon
to Dad's foot,
Summon the stars and sprinkle
them to decorate Dad's night,
Yet the sun in dad's heart
never grew cold!

What about Dad
who had to be a Physician?
He could steer the sun to
Mum's air condition,
Paint the rainbow to Mum's
favourite colours,
Yet the sun in mum's heart
never grew cold!

They smiled, but in fainted smiles.
They shared tales, but lies.
They even strolled down the beach,
Crossing hands on each other shoulders,
But in their left hand is glue with dagger.

Now you see;
This lengthy path they walked,
This unimaginable price they paid,
But all they fetched from the stream
of love was more hate and pretence.
You know why?

Let me drive you back to memories;
When Dad and Mum first met,
They were swallowed at first sight!
Dad was enchanted by Mum's
makeup and curved hips,
While Mum was soaked in Dad's
pocket and often roses and today;
They float in the ocean of regret
and thought of divorce,
Because they just realised;
They were never drowned in love!
