LOSING MY RELIGION
I'm losing my religion, Thank God.
Religion taught us to follow,
To act without questions,
Taught us to hide our sorrows and pretend,
Giving the world false impressions,
Day by day,pleasing men
And forgetting the one who was nailed for our transgressions.
How do I begin to try to paint this sin of rules?
That divides God's people.
In the beginning religion created mask,
The reformation helped, but the patch didn't last.
Religion is creating a series of perfect assumptions
And it is secretly denying us the effect of sin's implications.
It is slowly distorting our communication with God
And it is making us to follow the world's jurisdiction.
Religion is making us to forget the reason behind worldly demarcation
And heavenly adoration.
Religion leaves you bitter and dry,
Swift to cut like a razor,
Swift to call you a traitor,
Because you swift to love Taylor
Now we got bad blood with our Neighbour.
Who's wrong,who's right,
Every Sunday we are divided.
Religion... A sad altercation from an initial Christian-like emulation,
Religion... An apparent deviation from the centre of God's restoration.
Losing my religion is a perfect Indication of a new Godly invitation.
Losing my religion for goodness.
Losing my religion for humanity,
To become a better man.
Men have crusaded
For their faith,
Men have jihaded for the 'One belief',
Men have sacrificed men at the alter.
As Humanity finds itself divided,
Man in his immunity must find God.
Religion is a prison but truth sets us free,
Truth helps us to believe
That the world we are now is not the world that will be.
Seek not God in organised rituals,
Do not seek God with Religion.
Kneeling and praying in tandem,
You alluded yourself in religion.
Only in quiet you'll hear God,
Only in solitude, you are near God.
We sing to God when we are blue,
Hoping that he makes it better,
But still we will receive no answer,
Until we lose our religions.
Help the ones that are weak,
All they need is a piece of the pie that you are keeping.
Can you believe?
I'm losing my religion,
Thank God.
Helping you lose yours is my job.
