The dark before this light,
The night before this dawn,
The yesterday before today.
Many were summoned to pray,
Some picked their cell phones reaching out dates, friends and extended relations sharing wishes like; good night, sweet dreams, sleep tight, warm night.
You know how we do it, right?
But today,
The longed awaited light,
The risen of a morning sun,
Many mourn, tears drown their lashes,
White eyes turned red as they cry their tears,
Crying for the less privileged,
The prey hearted who aren't strong enough to fight the dark flames of last night.
I air my condolences and share the pains of those who mourn.
Peace to their soul as they rest in the cold flames of heaven and not the hot flames of hell...
And to these ones;
The brave hearted, the indomitable,
The dauntless knight of nights,
I say; Congratulations!
Congratulations to you who fought the dark from assailing your eyes.
Congratulations to you who survived the pains of dinning with our longed forgotten ancestral ancestors.
Congratulations! Congratulations!
You who made it to a new light,
A light bagged with merriment,
Love and afresh grace to live
and enjoy life to its fullest.
Glory to the man in white sitting above
the countless mountains,
Who gave quick notice to blackout and cursed the ground from digesting our corpse.
To Him the immortal of death,
I say; Good Morning!
And to us small immortals,
I say; Happy New Month!
