It wasn't funny hearing that the senate is requesting for NOUN to sit for JOINT ADMISSION MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB) examinations before they can serve but all thanks to the new Vice Chancellor Prof. Abdallah Ubah Adamu who had made it known to the senate that there is an earlier approval of the school to go for the NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NYSC) programme but was not implemented for some certain reasons. In a press interview yesterday, Prof. Abdallah ubah adamu had made it known that the present ɢʀaɖʊaռɖs of the university who are still within the age of serving their father are likely to be called not for the exemption letter but their call up letters to participate in the programme. He further added that back in the days is when National Open University of Nigeria is purely meant for workers who are still keen on improving their educational standard but now young student who have one way or the other finds themselves in the situation of working to survive and educate themselves are also taking the institution has their best option.
