Nigeria

Beauty is what defines her true state
Her black skin reveals not just the rays of the sun, it glitters like a royal equipage

Her monuments mirror her perspiration.
She stands unvanquishable like the eagle in ponder
But rests mildly  at dusk in her blissful home
A domicile of 'Peace and Unity'

She is now defaced by us

Who would care her ecchymosis

Who would silent her troubles and  tales of terror

Who would dry her tears and draw smiles once more on her visage
To efface her indelible cicatrice?
Who would fill her deflated belly
Who would sing love songs for her
like a berceuse is sung to young ears

Its love!

Love that loves love

She is beautiful

But trials and thorns snare her soles

Our ignorance spills up her red milk
Her leaders have refused to be her servants
Yet we profess our love for the Supreme

And in wonder I ponder if love is not best from home

She needs love;

My love

Your love

love that loves love

It's a love call

Be her love an ocean, let's be glad of a drown

Be her love crime, we must be sentenced for life

Be her love liquor, in swing, let our feet disagree

Be her love evil, we would be prepared for the dance of the spirit
Be she in economic recession or not!
Its our own!

So let's love her!

We'll love her!!

She is Nigeria!!!
The    Giant     of    Africa!!!!
Many more memorable moons to thee.
