Report: Barcelona continue to target Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez

The Premier League has been shaken up
by an Algerian sensation, and his
fantastic season could earn him a spot in
the world's best team.
The Daily Mirror reported last February
that Barcelona could be planning a
summer transfer offer for Leicester City
star Riyad Mahrez in light of the
Algerian's amazing campaign with the
shocking championship favorites. After a
few weeks of no talks, a new report from
the Mirror confirmed the interest from
the Catalan giants in the player's signing.
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is
expecting plenty of offers for Mahrez
(linked to Barça, Manchester United and
Tottenham) and midfield engine N'Golo
Kante (reportedly targeted by Chelsea ,
Arsenal and Juventus), but is willing to let
only one of the two leave the Foxes.
Ranieri wants to stick with his potential
Premier League winning side, but is
aware of the necessity of strengthening
the side for the Champions League.
Because of that, the Italian manager
could use one big money sale from either
player and then make good, cheap
signings with the figures he gets from a
potential transfer of a club star.
As of now, Mahrez is the most likely to
move away, and the Algerian is believed
to prefer a move to La Liga and join the
Blaugrana instead of staying in England.
His market value could be as high as €30
million, but the Catalans would be
willing to spend that much if coach Luis
Enrique asks for the signing.
