Pogba named in 2015 FIFA FIFPro World XI

The Juventus midfielder has been selected in the best
team of the year, which will be revealed in full at the
Ballon d’Or ceremony in Zurich on Monday evening

Juventus star Paul Pogba has been named in the
2015 FIFA FIFPro World XI, Goal can confirm.
It is a debut appearance for the French midfielder in
the best team of the year as voted for by professional
footballers from around the world.
The full team will be revealed at the 2015 Ballon d’Or
ceremony in Zurich on Monday evening, but Goal’s
sources in Italy have learned that Juventus have been
requested to send Pogba to Switzerland to collect his
award.
The 22-year-old earned his place in the ultimate XI
after a magnificent 2014-15 season in which he
helped lead Juventus to the domestic double and the
final of the Champions League – scoring 10 goals in
all competitions.
FIFPro is the worldwide representative organisation
for all professional footballers; more than 65,000
players in total, male and female.
Each professional is granted a vote for the FIFA
FIFPro World XI, which has been chosen annually
since 2005. The final XI is arranged in a 4-3-3
formation.
Last year’s team was: Manuel Neuer; Sergio Ramos,
Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Philipp Lahm; Andres Iniesta,
Toni Kroos, Angel di Maria; Arjen Robben, Lionel
Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo
Pogba will become the first Juventus player to make
the FIFPro World XI since Gianluigi Buffon in 2007.
