The Dog Of The Goddess
Who has seen the dog
The goddes has trained.
It traveled out with the frog,
When cat and dog it rained.
The frog can swim,
But not the dog,
Yet they are friends
Which the goddess banned.
Who has seen the dog
That the goddess has trained
Not to eat from another's plate,
Yet it followed the frog and whiled away.
All things has the goddess given it,
For it to stay away
From the table of men,
Yet it visited fields with the frog.
Labourless life it hates
Which the goddess gave it,
It wished to toil for its food
And be strong like other dogs.
But the dog was wise
To return home with the
Fruit of its labour and thus
Made immortal by the goddess.
